I recently won 5K Qs Thanksgiving giveway, and now it's finally time to offer my thanksgiving for it. I opted to wait until the GEC 78 with ironwood scales came out. Since I can't order from work and I am on the west coast, by the time I got home the day they were available there were only a few left, but I got a good one nonetheless:

I am very pleased with this knife. The size is just right, and the wood is very nice. Thanks again to 5K Qs!

This was my first time getting an SFO GEC. I thought the regular issues moved fast and you had to get one within a week or so or you would miss out. This one almost got away from me.

I can see why you were interested in the desert ironwood 78! The covers are phenomenal, and I really like the way the pins are quite flush on this knife (instead of the "countersunk" ones I see on some GEC models).

I hope you get years of service and enjoyment from the knife!!

When I first started visiting the forum, some of the first posts I read were 5K's and I instantly liked him a bunch! His genuine interest in the posts shared by others, his detailed responses and general positive attitude were appreciated by this noob right here.

In a world where so many only listen half-heartedly, a person like 5K stands out a classy gentleman. His generosity is thick icing on the cake!
