So some of you may know due to an earlier post about a AMS i was injured overseas and due to nerve damage holding my TGLB isnt an option nor is opening my spyderco with 1 hand......well i was contacted by Flux and an anonymous benefactor wanted to send me a SYKCO 4-11 and that he would like to contribute by finding me a sheath. He contacted 3 long time Busse and Kin sheathmakers all of which were willing to make the sheath or had 1 already made. Well everything came together and i am the happy owner of a 4-11 its awsome its kind of hard to explain but i can feel and control it without causing myself pain but still being able to get a good grip and the sheath which came from David Brown is superb holds the 4-11 like a glove and has a great fit and finish and top notch hardware came with a tek loc. Needless to say i love it and would like to thank all those involved .......The Anonymous Benefactor , David Brown, Rainwalker , Azwelke and Flux. I am deeply touched by all of your generosity and i am in debt to you all.

Great news and what a bunch of stand up guys. I'm glad you found a BusseKin that works for you. I hope you recover from your injury and can enjoy your TGLB in the near future!

Busse seems to attract the best and most generous people. Congrats and it sounds like a great setup. Enjoy it.

Congratulations! If it weren't for the generosity of HOGs, I would be INFIless. We have a lot of great folks here from both sides of the tracks.

Stories like these makes hanging around here simply one of the best experiences life has to offer. Thanks to all who supported lazy otter. L-O:thumbup:

Enjoy and get better buddy.

I don't deserve any recognition, Nick. All I did was send some emails to our awesome sheath makers and ship the 4-11. I also made a buddy; Nick is a nice guy who likes to talk about knives and guns, just like the rest of us.

I contacted three sheath makers because I wanted to make sure I got Nick a nice sheath and I know that all three would be generous, but I thought maybe one or two would be too busy.

I've gotta say, all three sheath makers that I contacted amazed me with how quickly they responded with such generous offers to help a man in need and all of them delivered by agreeing to either send an already made sheath, or by agreeing to get one done as soon as possible, all out of their time and pocket. We certainly have some great HOGs making our Kydex for us.

Enjoy and get better buddy.
David had an awesome sheath ready made to Nick's specs. He delivered an awesome sheath and Nick has told me that he now actually has a setup that works for him. He can un-sheath the blade one handed and the knife is light and ergonomic enough for him to use it. DAVID: A big thank you from Nick for bringing it!

Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH David Brown of Buy Brown, Al of Azwelke, Jeff of Rainwalker and the mystery man who saw Nick's thread and decided to help a guy in need.

You all helped Nick, a man who is in pain and has trouble opening a spyderco, get an EDC setup that he can actually use! How cool is that. I really enjoy stories like this myself.

Nick sent me a couple of photos. He put an edge on it and has been able to use it despite his neurological damage. He wants to strip it and force a patina, or something. If anyone has any pictures of a stripped 4-11, I would love to see it, because I've been thinking about stripping mine and want to see what I'd be dealing with.

The day it was shipped (such a cool blade):

I will post some after pics for Nick, too.

Thank you for sharing with us, I always love a story with a happy ending.
