I had mentioned in the "What Traditional Knife are ya Totin Today" thread how much I liked Jack Black's Joker knife, and how I was looking for one. Jack mentioned that they had been out of production for a few years. Then I received a PM from Jack asking for my address. Of course I sent it to him, with my interest piqued.
A little time passed and I received a parcel from England. The first thing I noticed before opening it is that it was WAY too heavy to contain a single knife. My anticipation grew, and a number of items were individually packaged within the parcel.
Among the contents was the Joker, a featherlight knife with an appropriately thin carbon steel blade and a gorgeous wood handle. But there was something else large enough to be a knife. A Wright Lambsfoot, the first time I had ever seen this pattern in person, much less had the opportunity to handle one, with a beautiful (walnut?) handle:

I was shocked by Jack's generousity, as the grin on my face continued to spread. But of course, there was more:

A pamphlet about the history of Sheffield cutlery, another about the craft beers (a favorite topic of mine
) of Leeds, and yet another about the Abbydale Industrial Hamlet. There was also a coaster from the Leeds International Beer Festival, and another with a Yorkshire beer joke that I don't quite understand
. My grin was now complete from ear-to-ear, very appropriate for the Joker parcel. But Jack's generousity being what it is, there was of course more:

A collection of English coins, including a One Penny coin from 1938, and a One Shilling from 1947. There was a beautiful magnifying glass, a church key that now lives on my key chain, a Sheffield key chain, a "knot picker" that I need to research, and the coolest post card I have ever received. Jack included a handwritten note on the post card.
I was just stunned. And I still don't know what to say in appreciation really. Jack, my friend, thank you very much for the kind gifts. It really warmed my heart and gave me a HUGE smile. I am really looking forward to trying the Lambsfoot and learning why the Guardians are such fans. The Joker will receive some sort of coating on the wood to protect it before I carry it, but I stropped the edge and that is one mean slicer. Cheers Jack, and THANK YOU again
