THE GERBER Mark II re-issue?

What have you heard about the Gerber Mark II re-issue? Will it be made in China? I've heard that they will be using 440A steel? Am I wrong?

The blade is stamped "Gerber USA, 420-C" Nothing about China visible.

I know about 420J2 and 420HC; but what is 420C?

I called Gerber yesterday and i got a call back from the message i left, very nice cust.serv. lady named Jenny. She said that the new (re-issue) MK II's are all made in Portland Oregon. that being said, i think this will be a quality knife. i sold mine as an idiot teen and have been pining for it ever since. gonna get one of the new ones and cuddle with it every night! - Eric

Don't feel bad. I sold mine as an idiot 40 yr old. I had never even unlaced the rawhide pigtail on the sheath.
