I’m posting this thread due to the limited information on German Made Okapi’s. How rare are they? Secondly how is the fit/finish or Overall Quality compared to the South African Okapis?
I would love to try out a classic German made Okapi. I wonder if there is as much, umm, "variation" in the German models as there is in the South African ones. I've had some funky Okapis. I just finished sanding the channel in my newest to eliminate the blade rub.
I mean, I own a classic, I see that theirs a 180 degree difference ! It feels like another knife all together. The woods finish feels amazing, the snap of the knife, how well it’s built. I’d like to see others opinions. Not to mention it’s German made past 1987 which is the height of German Quality in Industrialization.
