The moment I saw the picture of the new Globetrotter, I decided I had to have one. Luckily I didn't have to wait long.
With a 3.5 inch blade, it's just the size I like. I also appreciate a good sharp point for skinning. And, of course, it's 1095 cv with Ka-Bar's heat treat.
Like many other Ka-Bar products, it comes with a serviceable nylon sheath.
At first, I was slightly concerned about the edge geometry. I usually prefer a higher grind or full grind, but after using it, I'm very pleased with its cutting performance.
The coating had to go.
A few passes on the belt sander, and a few passes on the buffer, and it's even better with a convex edge.
The handle is excellent in a variety of grips.
Well done Mr. Jarosz and Ka-Bar. I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of this little knife.
