Depends on which made better warm-up before fight. 
Previous should be read that quality of heat treating and the intended usage means more when considering steels this close to each other(performance - not chemical composition although is is not very different either). If both had optimal heat treat and were heat treated to be lets say small utility knives then I'd pick BG-42. I belive (I dont know for sure as this depends on heattreat - again) that it has finer grain structure and that means sharper edge.
