Hey guys im pretty new here but figured you guys would love to hear about this!
2 years and some odd months ago my freind and I were beaten by the PCT we made it about 600 miles before we decided we were not ready for it. Since then we have been hiking and preparing for our next try, which we decided would be in 3 years, anyway 4 more months of physical training before we head out for the 2650 mile thru hike, it will take us about 4-5 months to finish. during then I probably wont be around to give updates and the sort.
during that time we will be making a photo journal and keeping notes about the hike. I can tell you guys im one exited dude also a little anxious of possibly being beaten down a second time, so send your good wishes my way!

thanks for reading!

When you complete the trail, you'll definitely be able to live up to your user name. :D Best wishes for a once in a lifetime adventure.

did you cut it short due to injury, fatigue(mental and physical), equipment.. too much?, inadequate quality, not enough?

I have been backpacking for 29 years but never gone longer than 3 months and am interested in your details.

Make everyone here happy and post your equipment list and resupply plans.

A lot of experience floating around here to brainstorm and help with your pretrip anxiety.

regards and good luck Andrew, this could turn into an excellent info thread!

we quit because of fatigue, we had some hiking experience at the time but we jumped the gun big time on it....

I'm jealous. Has been a fantasy of mine for years. Good luck with your adventure.

I wouldn't call backpacking 600 miles quitting :)

For me, it usually happens about 60 yards from the trailhead when the cartilage in my knees start squealing like little girls :o

600 miles....

I have obese patients that get out of breath--walking to get the mail.

YOU should be PROUD~!!!

My ex backacked the PCT. I "slackpacked" most of the the PCT with her.
