So about a year ago I post pics of my new favorite gun, Ar 15 chambered in 6.5 Grendel. I did some work to it over the winter and finally finished about a week ago. I spent about 20 min getting it sighted in and put three shot in the same hole at 100 yards. I can't wait for a break in the weather so I can start pushing the range back out to 500+. Sorry, forgot to take pics of the target. I was trying to beat a storm that was moving in.

Here she is.

Thanks, my goal is to shoot sub MOA out to at least 800 yds by the end of summer.

Very nice chambering! The Grendel is one of those that caught my attention when it first broke out of the custom only line. :D

It is a great round. Wind doesn't seem to effect it which is nice at long range.

I can tell you they are all true. :p I am not the greatest shot in the world but I was managing sub MOA at 500 yds.

I've had two 6.5's, Swedish Mauser 6.5 x 55 and .243 and both are amazing. Especially that 6.5 x 55. Love it!

I read a lot about the swedish and the only down fall was that I would most likely have to reload. The .243 is high on my list for my next build.

When I first got that Mauser back in the early 90's Norma and surplus where about all there was. Then about five years later sporterizing these things got popular and the range of good ammo got much better. Not sure nowadays though, I need to check.

The .243 is a flat shooting little bullet, but very light so it seems everything throws it off a little.

That is good to know. I have a few friends that swear by the .243 for hunting but then again I think the farthest shot any of them have taken was 200 yds.

I have a question. If I hit the report button because of the off topic thread, would it be the OP that moves it? :p

Pretty cool rifle though. I've always been interested in the 6.5 mm rounds.
