This is just a reminder.... knives are sharp! (Especially mine! ;))

I haven't cut myself in a while until this morning so I don't feel too bad but DANG.... almost took the whole edge of my right pinky off doing a quick wrist snap close while working on something... Little bit of liquid band-aid (read: sterile superglue) had me fixed right up.

I don't think the knife did, either. ;)

Step 1: Get your knife to whittle hairs
Step 2: Use it as your EDC for several months to years, touching it up about once every week or two due to normal usage
Step 3: Out of the blue, randomly, cut yourself with it on accident.
Step 4: Clean and heal wound.
Step 5: See Step 1

That's about my rotation so far....

Getting scratched by my cat is worse than that...... I thought you said your knife was sharp ;)

Yea, its definitely not my deepest or largest cut... and I didn't know it happened until the wife said, "babe, you're bleeding..." The worst part about it is that I work in IT and have to type constantly.

ha Nice battle wound. LOL i always forget how sharp my knives are till i see blood then i realize i sliced into my finger...

No stitches = no cut. (At least that's my policy with the wifey, "No i didn't cut myself, its just a scratch, see, it doesn't even need stitches." lol)

Please explain this technique. I bleed easy so I can't see getting my cuts to stay dry long enough to use the glue. How much? After the bleeding has finally stopped? Can you shower? Using the injured digit?

I'm into my 9th day of healing my most recent boo-boo. My Rajah 1 falling on the carpet (butt first) and rocketing the belly of the blade into my shin cutting all the way to the bone. One long angry red scab where the crater was - no stiches!

A while back, I sharpened up my Mini Grip nice and sharp and then, in the process of testing how sharp it was (oh, the irony), I cut my left index finger deep enough to do nerve damage (did a stupid thing I'll never do again). Still feels funny at that spot and there's a curvy scar about 3/4 of an inch long. After it healed, it took weeks before I could bend that finger without pain. No stitches, 'cause last time I got a cut stitched (hedge trimmer--another stupid mistake I'll never make again), it cost over $600.

I hate it when my knives bite me. I try to be so nice to 'em. :(

Someone tell me how to do the Super Glue Bandage and it's scope of use & limitations plz. :)

I only ever use super glue when I need a cut closed NOW, ie: I'm going to get blood in the food or I'm going to get motor oil in the cut or something. When I'd do it, I'd just hold the cut closed and draw a bead of super glue across the cut skin, then wait to cure. Doesn't really hurt to be generous with it. That's just using cyanoacrylate, though, not the actual 'liquid bandage' stuff you can buy now.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff. I always have a few knife cuts on me at any given time. :D
