Hi guys and gals!

It is done with this day. On 25th July 2010 I joined the Forum here on BFC and since then I´m a regular member here and also "frequent-poster". The reason why I came here was a question I had about CASE Knives and asked them in the german Messerforum in summer 2010. Some guys there told me: "No idea! You could try out the Blade Forum dot Com and find the answers".

So I did. And now I´m here :D for a long long time. My most visited place in the www and one of the places I use to return often, if not even daily. :)
I found a lot friends here. I will propably never be able to meet them in person which I´m sorry for.
I also learned a lot in here, about knives, history and a foreign language that is rather far from my mothertongue.

In these days I will also reach my 7,000 posts here. I never posted (spamed) anywhere as much as I did here nor I never will.

I wanna give something back to you guys & gals. And saying "THANK YOU !!!" for the last half decade and the ton of fun and generosity I recieved from you guys and gals.

It will be a GAW for the regular members here in the Traditional section of BFC. It will run several days I hope for a lot of entries. :)
I will ship anywhere in the whole wide world :D

What can you win... well... I was thinking of giving away a GEC or something like that, but I decided that it will be a pattern of european origin. A completelly unused and just stained from storage.
A Laguiole l' Aiglon with bear trap backspring.

Thanks for all. :)

I'm definitely in for a chance at this sir

Thanks
G2

Edited to add the following: excuse the brevity of my initial posting, I was on my ipod touch and man I can not type fast nor well with that small device ;) so I will add what I was thinking now :)

5 years is a good long time and you've made the most of that time residing here, in Traditionals !!! always a welcome posting from you, one thing I check is where folks spend their time, you can view their Profile and check their Posting areas

and today you have OVER 5,700 posts in Traditionals alone !!! that speaks volumnes of where your heart and mind are at, right here on the front porch ;)

Again, a very nice looking knife, I've held back getting one for a long time and was excited to see you selected that one as your give away, best of luck to all who enter and I would imagine there will be MANY folks adding to this thread, as you have gathered a nice following of good people !

(it's good to type on a regular keyboard! )

It's between awesome having you around here Andi. This part of the forum seems to work especially well to have input from people around the world.

I'm definitely in on this one. Looking forward to the next 5 years!

Congratulations on the milestones, Andi. I always appreciate your viewpoint when you post, and 7,000 isn't near enough in my opinion. I couldn't imagine this place without our German friend. I'd definitely like to be in, and thank you for the chance. I look forward to the next 5 years of Andi posts. ;)

Andi, you are a Traditionals institution. Congrats on the milestone and here's to your next 7000.

Andi, thank you for the generous GAW and thank you also for your contributions over the last five years.
I'm in my friend.

I hope to see you for far far longer Andi, been on BF since 2011 but didn't start posting heavily here until of last year/lurking the year before. I spend far too much time here as well, hope to be around as long as you are, Cheers~

not and entry but good luck to everyone~

I'm fairly new to BF and just started reading the traditional forums and something has come sweeping over me taking me back to when I was a boy. Remembering the days of going to the hardware and feed and seed stores with my dad and starring and dreaming at the old wooden display cases full of traditional knives. I remember getting my first Barlow and cutting down small saplings to build forts and then staring at my Barlow in total amazement at such an incredible tool. I am now 60 yrs old and finding myself sitting on the porch whittling and feeling like that young boy and his Barlow. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a great knife and. Thanks for your time.and input here in the traditional forums.

Congratulations on the milestone Andi, it's been great to have you as a friend throughout my days of regular posting here. I hope one day that we will meet, you're a great guy :)

I don't enter too many giveaways, like to give everyone else a better chance, but I'd like to enter this one if I may :)

Good luck everyone, and it's great to have you here Andi. Thanks for everything you bring to The Porch, and for a most generous giveaway

Not an entry.

Just a note of appreciation for all that you have shared with us. Letting us watch you go from "Uncle" to "Papa", the joy you bring to your appreciation of knives, plus the information you yourself bring to the forum. Thanks for being here.
