My friend Jamie has recently gotten into a bit of blacksmithing and knife making and made this push dagger for me over the weekend :)
made from a leaf spring from an old Ford Truck. I LOVE it more than any of the cold steel push daggers I have owned.
What u think?

Interesting design. That's how it starts...make this one knife for a friend and the next thing you know his free time goes to zero. Does he have anything else or is this his first?

Thanks I will pass on the compliments! Jamie has made a few more but they were standard hunting knife type deals. I asked for a Push Dagger and got this in the mail today :) Jamie said it was the first twisted steel design and the first push dagger attempted. I think I will put the Spyderco in a drawer and carry this a while. I looks uncomfortable but actually when in the hand it feels a lot more comfortable than u would imagine.

Pass on my complements as well! and tell him to keep at it, it looks like he has some mad skills:cool:

I think you have a great friend! Mighty kind of him to think that highly of you. Pretty unique design, but it should mean more coming from a true amigo.

Should of used a Dodge leaf spring for that design :p

I agree. No sense in disabling a perfectly good truck (Fords don't break)... Much better to use good steel from a junk truck. ;)

(My daily driver is an SVT Lightning :D )

Cool push btw! They legal where your at? I can open carry a two foot fixed blade, but not that. :(

Did you know 98% of Fords are still on the road today? The other 2% made it home ;)

Nice, you should post some more of his work. I'd like to see those hunting knives he made. I've always wanted to try my hand at blacksmithing, just never had the materials laying around to work with.
