The boys anxiously awaiting their new brother, a 20" CAK. Realizing the issues in Nepal at this point in time, it may be awhile however, they are patient. Thanks to all that helped steer me in the right direction, perhaps the wrong one depending on perspective. Especially mntgunr, I kind of miss the ol' curmudgeon. ;^ )

L-R 15" Ghopte/Dhan, 16.5" CAK/Purna, 17" Tin Chirra/Thamar, 18" Ganga Ram Special/Rajkumar, 18" M43/ Lachhu, 20.5" Gelbu Special/Lachhu, 20" Bone Cutter/ Purna Sankher

OK, what happened to mntgunr?

Not sure but, he hasn't been here for weeks. Just saying, he was always a great help as are many others here. I know I'm a newbie and old timers seldom welcome others with glee. However, mntgunr always lent a helping hand. Again, just like many others here, which is seldom encountered on other forums. Either there is a bunch of great folks on this site or my judge of character has suddenly gone awry.

Sweet knives there! Dang good first haul:thumbup: The Gelbu I especially like! Where did the Rajkumar GRS come from? Was it outside purchase. Old stock? He dont work for HI anymore. Just curious.

I think he got upset about something concerning collating all of the online information on HI and it's products for historical archiving, and was disappointed when not to many people volunteered, and he made some remark, about people claiming to love Hi, but not willing to do much to preserve it, or something like that. Whatever, he is a nice guy, but it seems that his skin isn't really "thick" enough.

Sad really, especially over words. Anyway, he will be sorely missed by myself. He figuratively took me under his wing when I first arrived. Something I never took the opportunity to thank him for.

Nice progressive selection!

Thx Cul4 for the supposed update on Mntgunr. Mnt if you read this - Sorry if you are upset and glad it's nothing worst.

BigBore that's a fine collection you got there! Oh, BTW, you were absolutely right about the Tin Chirra. Beautiful work!

That is definitely a killa collection. HI is turning out some real show stoppers lately. I like how Auntie has directed the Kami's to produce more historic blades. The Yek, Dui, and Tri's are just plain awesome, Thamar has really outdone himself lately.

Purna Hanshee's and Chainpuri's are approaching museum quality in a lot of cases. The website has some real beauties, but the forum is where it's at for the latest greatest pieces.

... I love HI just like most due here in the forum. HI's forum is like a family compared to other forums. Everyone is full with tips and quality info. We are blessed to have a place where we can talk and exchange ideas. A lot of us lead busy lives with work, and family. It's hard to contribute time when family, work, and emergencies take place. Just being here and conversing with each other shows how dedicated and loyal we are to HI. People need not feel bad if life gets in the way hobbies. Nuff said

Well put.

I love you too.

Thanks for all the kind words gents. Between the fine comrodery, wonderful HI products and Auntie's personal touch, I find it impossible to stay away!
On a side note, now that I've had a chance to handle a few with different design characteristics, I'm finding some preferences. I really like the feel of the handle on both the Gopte and Tin Chirra. Also, I find the balance and feel of the 20" 45oz Bone Cutter to be perfect for me, especially considering it's large size.
