The Hide Out

Do any of you guys own the CS Hide out? If so do you like it? Hate it? Is it a double edge? Not sure if double edge is legal here in Maryland? My biggest question is does it print under shirt? I'm not a super skinny guy but not real fat. Pics would be cool too. Thanks guys!

The Cold Steel Hide Out is a small, inexpensive, and astoundingly functional neck knife. Its high satin polished, double-edged Japanese AUS 8A blade is "Scandi" ground, allowing for a strong point and effortless penetrative power. The full tang is encapsulated in a thin weather proof Kray-Ex™ handle. Includes a strong, reliable Secure-Ex® sheath with bead chain lanyard. Haven't got this one, prefer the push knives. Definitely check local ordinances for this type of knife.

IIRC most effective weapons were banned for private citizens . Part of why I got out soon as possible . More an issue around DC and other cities , of course .

Seriously now , DE dagger type knives are forbidden lots of places , so be careful and informed .

I held one at one of their parking lot sales years ago. Didn't like the way the handle felt in my hand so I set it back on the table. Not a bad knife but I like a more substantial grip is all. Really like the Secret Edge neck knife but wish it had a guard to keep hand from sliding down that blade. So far the Mini Tac series seem to have the features I like best in a neck knife.

I have one. It's a nice blade, but the handle is too small for me.

Wrapping it with paracord makes it feel a lot better.

I think it would make a decent neck knife.
