This picture is fresh from the Chuck Ward and the AKA Show.

Crushed "W" mosaic and 420 stainless with as much Jere Davidson engraving as would fit. The small knife is a slip joint folder with the same blade steel and snaps into the bowies handle. The pommel has a spring loaded latch to deploy it nicely into your right hand.

Blade is 9 3/4" long entire length about 15" Walrus ivory grips, leather lined, fiber glas and pig skin covered sheath. 410 stainless throat and tip is TIG welded.

Thanks for looking

Well, folks, unless something really incredibly special comes up, I think Bruce may have just won his third BF bowie of the year contest and the year still has 10 month to go so other makers, get your thinking caps on and your forges fired up as the bar has been set at Olympic standards which is appropriate for this year. That is one incredible knife and the idea is superb. I have seen other kangaroo knives and own one but this is so incredibly different that it is almost beyond belief. Wonderful job Bruce!!! A truly amazing work of art. Would have loved to have seen that but the photos which is superb will have to do.

Great photo of an even greater knife/knives. When Jon first showed this knife to me I wondered how you fixated the folder inside the handle and now I finally know. Great job.

Too cool Bruce, I have been thinking about a folder in the handle of a fixed blade... really no point to it now. You really nailed it. Thanks for the look at it.

Great looking knife and cool as can be. I really enjoyed handling it multiple times over last weekend.
The photo really depicts the set's outstanding attributes.
Love Jere Davidson's engraving/inlay, absolutely amazing what the guy can do with hammer a chisel.

I appreciate all the compliments guys. Wait till you see what pops out the handle next year, hehe

SPECTACULAR!

Any chance of a pic of the little knife open?

Kind regards,

Jos

Beautiful knife. If scales were ever really "perfectly matched" these would definitely qualify.
