I thought I'd show this knife here. I call it the "High Roller" hunter because of the handle material. This material is MONEY!! No....seriously...it's actually money. :D Real U.S. shredded currency cast in alumilite resin. It's a real high quality product, no cracks, bubbles or voids. Pretty neat stuff, I think. It looks like digicam to me so I thought it would be cool on a hunter.

Specs:
Hand-forged from 1075 steel, clay quenched and etched
8 1/8" overall, 3 7/8" blade, .200" thick at the ricasso with full distal taper
False edge, just shy of sharp
Heavily rounded spine and ricasso edge for comfort
Rounded, filed thumb grip
Black g-10 collars
Bronze Coin-edged spacer
Shredded Money 'moneycarta' contoured handle- material courtesy of http://kobrakydexgear.com/ Thanks man!
My signature fluting on the butt end, though it's a bit hard to see because of the pattern of the money (made doing that extremely difficult on this piece, by the way)
Black g-10 checkered bolt cover

The right hand horizontal carry/cross draw sheath is sharkskin and lined with deerskin. Courtesy of my friend and master leather worker Claude Scott.

All comments and discussion welcome. :)

You make the finest Hunters......I happened to have the one you made me out yesterday. :)

Very cool knife, as always the little details are great. Man, that moneycarta! Now I want to try some!

Uber cool!!

Thanks man!

AMAZING work man! I swear one of these days I'm going to have you make me a knife!

Sure, anytime. Email me jdoyleknives AT gmail DOT com if you ever want to discuss particulars on something specific. Thanks for the comment!

Good deal Dudley! Glad you're liking it. Thanks for the good words.

Thanks Salem. It's neat stuff. Very high quality product. It sands and machines super easy but it's hard and durable at the same time. I've got a couple more blocks and will be using it again. Maybe on some sort of bowie/campknife?

John, I admire all your work, great job on this one too!

Wow, just when I was wondering when something new would come along in the custom knife world... That is really interesting! Good on ya, John. (I'm really enjoying your Kard from the CKCA mini show at BLADE in June.)

Thanks Buddy! I think it's a fairly unique and neat material.

Glad you're enjoying the kard. It is probably my favorite knife I've made so far, if you made me pick a favorite. Did you see it is featured in the current Blade (Oct. 2016)? I may have a copy I could send you if you wanted.

Thanks again!

I always love your guard-less hunters, cool handle, I've never seen that before.

my joke must have been much more terrible than I thought
