Well tonight I gave the Scottish dirk to a friend of mine for Christmas. Money couldn't buy the feeling I got watching him turn it over and over and asking about the steel, and the ivory and showing it to everybody around. I doubt I'll ever make any money knifemaking but I sure get personal wellbeing out of it.:)

Peter,

It sure does make a person feel good to give one to someone that really appreciates it. Merry Christmas

Peter, you nailed it.

And just think, long after we're all gone someone will still be reacting that way. Congratulations!

I love that feeling with every knife I have leave the shop.I have always wanted to be a fly on the wall of all the guys that have gotten my knives for presents over the years just to see there faces when they opened the packages..
The money is great, but the look on peoples faces and there reactions when they first see the knife is the best part..
And if they don't like the knife it is like someone has driven a spike straight through you..Glad that doesn't happen very often..
