but a bit sensationalistic and overly dramatic. Entertaing, but in general, "History light" (i.e., plenty of cool things are alluded to, but not exemplified. They left out some of the bloodiest or infamous raids, best feats of tactical/cunning, etc.).

agreed. as long as you have more than a cursory knowledge of the subject, you find yourself going "but what about....?"

but, it's t.v. . it's got to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
