The history of celluloid

He's not so bad.
I take it back.
Lost interest during the ad.
Thanks though.
Taking him a while to get to the celluloid.

Did you know that you can fast forward and rewind on YouTube? Double tap the right side of the screen and you advance 10 seconds, 3 taps gets 20s, and so on. Same on the right side to rewind.

I thought it extremely interesting. It is easy to move back and forth with a mouse.

Ahhh ... The History Guy!

I subscribe to his channel, since I loke history and all, but I don't watch all his videos. Some I have no interest in.

I'd not received notification of this one.

All I know about celluloid is its much older than I am, and since it breaks down and outgasses, is a mighty poor choice for knife handles. (and there are much better plastics for that application these days, anyway.)

I think it used to be used for camera/movie film at one time, as well.

While the episode didn't deal directly with knives I found it interesting to learn exactly what celluloid is.

I have two that so far are untouched by the Curse. And they are beautiful to look at. I feel fortunate to have this piece of history for however long they last.

And yes, I follow the care and feeding guide, but thanks, it was good to review.
