One think I love about Wikipedia is the little side adventures it can take you on. You click on one link in an article. Then in the other article, you click on another link. And so on and so on...
Check out the Meow Wars on the link above. Strangely fascinating to find out about these huge goings-on that I had never before heard of...

Although I haven't been reading it much lately, I've read Usenet since the mid 1990s. This article and the links brought back a lot of memories of things I've seen.
I particularly remember 'Is Your Son a Computer Hacker?' and the response it brought. It's kind of reminiscent of the sort of alarmist "how to identify if your teenager is having sex/using drugs/getting in trouble/plotting mass murder" material written by self-proclaimed experts.
I think it was a particularly effective and even humorous troll because of all the intentional misinformation that would really bother computer enthusiasts, like AMD being some commie slave labor organization.
