The hole in CS ParaEdge?

What is the hole in the tang area of the new ParaEdge knives for...I thought it may be for the kydex sheath to grip it, but there is nothing there for it. So what do I do with it ???
 
The holes are so you can convert the Para-Edge into a spear. You will notice the second tie hole is also the lanyard hole.
