Well, i finally replace my beloved ASH1 CG. Picked up a new one from a fellow hog who must have felt sorry for me. After some research, I believe it is a ASH1 LE. Measures .230 at the ricasso. I'm assuming the little extra thickness is the beautiful coating. Anyone have the color name?

I love ash-1 cg. Why would u replace it? Maybe it will show up in anniversary blades offer!?! Initial run was in 1992...
 
That .230 should be easier to EDC than the fatty.
Congrats on the new blade.

At the time, I had to sell the CG for money purposes. I hated to, but I had to. I'll get another someday. This one is awesome, but its not the CG.........................
 
I know what you mean.
The CG has such a satisfying feel in hand.
It gives me the warm and fuzzy.
 
I think these .22/.23 blades were LE blanks that didn't make the grade to be an LE ... no complaints from me however. Mine is also a Desert Sand blade with Tan G10 ... :D

The "A" in ASH-1 one stands for Anniversary, and this particular anniversary version of the Steel Heart was offered in 2007 on the Busse site for well over half a year. I believe that it'll be a li'l while longer before we see it again as a new run. :)

ETA: ...Especially considering that the NM Fusion Steel Heart has just been released. There is always the possibility of the ASH-Whacker, however... :D

Jaxx, what is that handle material? Linen or G10? Only asking, because I believe my new one is the same.
 
LUCKY!!!!! Desert Sand is my grail coating. I put up a WTB for a busse with desert sand and got no hits. Hopefully one day. Congrats man!
