I have been using a rather expensive and relatively older style Busse blade for a while now. It is without a doubt, the best knife I have come across for my usage. I had 2 of them, now I have one and I am kicking myself for letting the other go.

The age does not worry me, nor does the fact of it's price tag for a 'user' as she's warranted for life, yeah!?

All I need to do now is get her out of the 'nylon' sheath that is currenlty being used and get her into some real pants. I am thinking leather with a bit of croc inlay. Then again, I do have this sickness concerning kydex... :o

Which era / model is your Holy Grail 'Busse Bad Boy'...?

I will get some pics up of this tormented gal in the next couple of days...

God bless her...

I picked up a Holy Tearer (or is it Terror) that I am having some leather made for as we speak. Once I get it back I plan on making it a regular carry knife when I'm working around the house. :D:D

I've got a SHSH in A2 that I regularly use to chop up some wood for the short winters we have around here, but I think a SH1 would be the ultimate, if not totally unobtainable (is that a word?);) "holy grail" knife to me. But I am more than happy with my nice fat user! :D :D :D that is with its companion fatty Badger in tow. ;)

i guess my holy grail of busse knives would be skunks middle player in his recurve set, the recurved, top serrated, bump handed badger attack...

i have a ad in that style (-bumps), and would like something with just a little more edge (in the same style)... if i could get that, and a satin jack tactical, id be set

one for cutting, one for bashing....

of course... i dont think anyone could ever go wrong with having a silent knight/Knight Light in their busse repetoire... those straight handled badger attacks are looking nicer and nicer and nicer....

Gundy, I am having a black leather sheath made for the bead blasted Birdsbeak SHSH that I got from you and I should have it soon. The black color of the leather should go well with the grey bead blasted finish. I will post pictures as soon as I get it. I'll post some pictures tonight of a couple of other leather and kydex sheaths for SHs and BMs.

:D :D

My possessed "Grail" is the Bird and Trout.

Made by Jerry mid-'82, one of 3 he ever did with ivory.

Still looking for it's brothers..... :(

My second Grail(s) are the rest of the original tan LMS'........

My Holy Grail would have to be the Dragon's Fang or a Fusion Style Dragon's Fang :D

Well, till Jerry starts making lightsabers. :D

I gotta say that my holy grail is my SJLE

Followed quite closely by Inficoot + Tan howler combo

As far as what I want and don't have:

1. #9 Uncle Mofo satin or Desert
2. #9 Matching BA3
3. #9 SJLE

My Holy Grail or White Whale is the Indy 1500 NUKE HEART varaint. Deep dish hollow ground, double edged w/ flying handles in spanking satin finish.....It will be mine....

That's him..... second from the bottom......He's the one..... Hey Nuker, I'm watching you! You might feel safe...all tucked away in Skunks draw, for now you can rest...cuse when I find ya, you will not sleep for a long time....

I guess even though what I want doesn't exist and won't I think the blade is a SH1. It may have been a 2 because of the longer blade. Not sure. That SH1 handle though. :)
Saw one at Knob Creek. Wasn't for sale it was on the belt of one of the venders.

I really want that knife in INFI but since it doesn't exist.
Of course the other Busse I wanted and had in my mind I now have. :D :D :D

Since I live in the city, and rarely venture into the woods (once a year), my Holy Grail is one of the thinnest Busse's ever made. The Bagder Attack Limited Edition. It has it all. Finish, handles, details, zero edge, perfect size.....

If you want to CUT something, and not pry or leverage, or dig with, or chop with....just cut with, you will be hard pressed to find a finer blade. Yet it is still fairly robust.

I'm sure that there are other ABLE fans out there. However the unfortunate fact is that these knives are so perfect and so rare that few people have actually used them. If anyone has actually used their ABLE, please post your experience here.

I think I have my Grail. That would be a fatty SHBA in INFI. I only have 2 fattys now. One is certainly A2 and is smooth as a babys butt. The other one, sold as A2 is as dimpled as a tangerine. The 3rd fatty (now living in Tejas), was also smooth. Hasn't been back to the shop for confirmation, but I'm 90%+ sure it's INFI. It's also my EDC. Even if it's A2, at 5/16" thick it's a hefty chunk of steel. Carrying it daily makes it better than any safe queen variant.

I haven't had the chance to check out a SHBA but I love the BA-E. 1/4 inch INFI and comfy. I don't have any problem concealing it.
Mind you not that I'd conceal a blade cause that's just not legal around these parts.

What I can't believe is that The Holy Grail is in the title of the thread and not one Python reference.
