Instant mouth watering, gotta have this in my hands to fondle and love and care for and slip in my pocket every morning. Thing is, im a little lost on finding a Wharnie barlow. Am i just not looking in the right places or something? Maybe some of you fine folks out there who have been collecting for years can help a young man out in the search for his first Traditional. Thanks for looking!

edited to add: the two blade design pairing the slip and the wharncliffe really drew me to the knife, the handle just set it off

Those were part of a special factory order (SFO) by one of the GEC dealers. I believe they were all sold out during the pre-order period so your only option is to pick one up through a secondary channel like the Exchange forum here or an auction site.

GEC knives are made in limited quantities and the demand for them has finally outstripped the supply. SFOs even more so. Usually if you miss the initial run you just have to wait until someone sells theirs.

I'm very confused. If you want that knife, it is for sale in the thread I provided. They are already sold out from the dealers, so a second-hand one is the only kind you will find. What am I missing?

Last time I checked it I saw someone had gotten it? Maybe I misread. Until this evening I had the money, this sub zero weather killed my battery. Odds are good it will be gone by next payday.

You may have made the mistake I did at first glance when seeing the "SOLID" in the description, mistaking it for SOLD. I'm pretty sure it was available for a while before it sold because I kept on checking it out wondering should I. I guess a few people made that mistake. I was always surprised that it hadn't sold yet. Usually those go fast before I can even spot them. Now I'm starting to kick myself
