All this talk of the Beck and TOPS knife made me go rent the Tommy lee Jones movie "The Hunted".Good movie with some good action and believable scenes except where he "quickly"forged his own knife from a steel car spring .My question is did anyone notice the close resemblance of TLJ's character and Tom Brown?I know that there were some extreme differences but they are both trackers and both have something to do with that knife design, anyone else notice this?

Yup. TB was one of the trainer and consultants for the movie. If you look at the credits his name in mentioned.

The Tommy Lee Jones character was loosly based on Tom Brown, it's mentioned in every interview and every documentary and the directors commentary on the DVD.

if you read tom browns book the case fiels of the tracker in the chapter "my Frankenstine" it is allmost the same as the hunted so it really is a story based on tom browns and a former student Nails

I just watched the movie for the first time this evening. In my view, it's a rip-off of "First Blood", the original "Rambo" movie. It was amusing, but that's about it.
