OK a few thoughts.
It's lighter than I thought it would be.
Along those lines, I had worried that with the relatively wide blade and slim scales it would be unwieldy while closed, a la the Manix XL.
My fears were squashed however..it folds up pretty slim and neat. Hides away nicely in the pocket. The clip works well and looks good too.

I'm liking the over-travel/lock-face steel piece. I'd never seen a "both in one" like it before. I posted a pic above that shows the over-travel tab.

Flipping action is smooth and fast, and will only improve.
Detent is on the soft side but that's how I like it.

The blade came plenty sharp.
Very impressed by the symmetry. Both sides are mirror images, all the way to the tip.

The only question I'm faced with now is whether or not to anodized the clip or the scales or both.

Nice review and pics. When did they start sending out zipper pouches for their knives or is that reserved for the high-end knives? My one complaint is the cheap cardboard box most of them come in.

Packaging here was very nice..better than any sub-$200 knife I've bought before.

The packaging shown is the new 2016 packaging we are sending out for our BLADESMITH and PRIME series Kizer products. The VANGUARD series will have a box with clear cover to show the content.

These new packaging will, for some time, be concurrently available on the market with the old style packaging just due to production/shipping timing, but you should see the new packaging more and more until the transition is complete.

I like the zipper pouches shown above or something similar. I personally feel like your knives are great quality even for the sub $150 knives. It really does class them up and give you a pride of ownership.

Most of the bigger retailers offer non-branded zip pouches for pretty cheap.
My personal favorite is Ace Case.

There were zipper pouches available from some dealers but they had the old Kizer logo on the front. I don't know if they will offer the new version too.
