I have been working on this monster for one of the forum members and I was having a heck of a time trying to make it so that the two sheaths could be attached and secure and then detached to be two stand alone sheaths that didnt look like crap. I also wanted the attachment point to be totally adjustable by the user to make up for any leather stretch. This was one of those projects where I spent more time staring at it trying to figure out how to actually do it than working on it.

Well I finally figured out how to do all of that.

I put this on to model it and it sure is heavy. Its going to take one heck of a belt to hold this up with an FBMLE and a BATACLE in it along with a sharpening stone in the pouch and a fire starter in the loop.

Ok a few pics.

Nice work Chuck!

So where does the Buick go? :p I think some suspenders are in order. :D

Nice pictures... Now stopping hanging out on this forum and get going on that leather for me! =)

Thats crazy... How much you think it weighs in at? 5 pounds? 6?

You could swing that thing and knock someone out thats for sure! :D

Beautiful work! Personally, I would probably have used nylon straps comparable to the leg strap on the bottom. With the weight and the way leather tends to stretch, I'm wondering what the life span would be on the leather holding the smaller sheath onto the larger.

Chuck - that came out VERY nice!!! like you said - i may have to start doing some leg presses to hold that bad boy up! i also really like the choice to go with the brown color - i think it matches the LE handles quite nicely.

I love it, looks simple and functional. Like most things that have been given ALOT of thought should.

I actually tried about 5 different ways of holding the BATAC sheath on. I didnt like the look of the nylon. Leather stretching was the reason I wanted it to be adjustable by the user. I dont think the two one inch straps I have on there will have any trouble lasting as long as the rest of the sheath.

Congratulations Chuck, real nice work on that. A 2-in-1 sheath solution!

aloha all, sweet leather!!! another outstanding job! classy and heavy duty! sorry about not posting those pics chuck. between knife purchases and my wife finding out how much i've been spending, lets just say i dont get my dig. camera (still get to keep my knives and sheaths!) you make a bomb-proof leather sheath! fast turn around! great communication! and great price too! thanks for all your hard work!

If this is an intended user sheath, this guy will need to counterbalance himself with a MOASH and an Off Duty, plus a bag of lead:D. I have a feeling that this will be a "for display purposes only" set. It is beautifully done as usual. I love your work.

By the way is that an FBMLE or an FFFBM in sage with standard G-10? Doesn't look satin to me from the pics (which are awesome).

This one is Adam's (XGoldy), as far as I know he is going to carry it. It was heavy and I would wear a much thicker belt than the dress belt I had on if I were going to carry it around. I guess he could just take it apart and carry one on each side if it got uncomfortable.

In case of a bear attack he could just spin in place and the sheath would probably kill the bear.

It is a Sage FFBM. I was too cheap to get an LE

Thanks for the kind words guys. I am really happy with how this one came together. One of these days when I get caught up enough to make myself something, I think I will try one like this with a SJAC and a Meaner.

That is SO COOL! Make sure you keep the pattern for that one! Looks like just the type of rig to take to hell and back :)

Top notch!!

I think that would look even better hanging from a matching 1-3/4" wide, double-thick, pre-curved Chuddy Bear-made Belt! :D

Oh, and an INFI buckle, too.
