The flip side of the hate thread. I like it because it helps keep cost down, is very tough, and very light. When molded right, it has better grip than any other handle material IMHO.

I know you can hit it with a hammer (click for pix) ;) :D

I don't have a lot of FRN folders, but what I do have I really like them for what they are. Nice cheap users, that will not let you down.

Please post yours

no pics right now, but I love my d'allara, dragonfly, and goddard LE. wouldn't trade them for the world. hopefully it won't be too long before I can pick up a salt to take diving.

aww come on, you make me look like a hater now. I stated earlier that I thought I was too harsh in the title. :(

:D Its all in fun

Yes I like other handles options better, but I do like FRN for what it is. IMHO it's great Spyderco is pairing ZDP with FRN  Thus letting us knuts "use" it with out holding back

I got my girlfriend a Spyderco Delica Wave SE for Christmas and she likes it. I really like the Spyderco Wave models myself. Other FRN knives that are pure awesomeness:

BM Griptilians "(oops, those are zytel IIRC. But I'm sure it falls in this category)
Spyderco Delica/Endura series
Spyderco D'allara
Spyderco Salt Series
Spyderco Caly Jr
Spyderco Dragonfly
Spyderco Ladybug

I'm with ya So-Lo. FRN definitely has its place. In addition to it being 100 percent carefree, it's a big reason why you can buy an Endura 4 for less than 60 bucks. Nothing against G10 or carbon fiber, but if you want that in a knife, be prepared to pony up:D I like FRN for what it is, economical, durable, light, and comes in some really neat colors:)

meh. alright then, you may continue :p

That's what I'm talking about.

That yella' is sticker than snot on a door knob :D

You won't hear me complaining about FRN. Some of my favorite everyday carry knives when I know things are going to get messy---read: when I don't want to get my more-expensive knives gunked up and have to worry about cleaning them---are the Spyderco Native, Pacific Salt, and the BM/Doug Ritter RSK Mk1.
