But my guess is that Lorien committed some grievous error or lapse of judgment, and this is a desperate, and somewhat obvious attempt to scmoozle (my own word) his way back into Nathans good graces.

I like Nathan just fine; his knives are superb.
BUT, it's Jo that I deal with and she holds that place together just fine and dandy.

I also think that the “heart of an angel” that Jo keeps in a jar on her desk may, in fact, be Nathan’s heart.
