well hes at it again this time he chose a project 1. and look at his video 4 that blade looks discolored to me like its been heated. i know he wont stop but if he was to show his face he might be a little more credible. as im sure chris reeve will agree some steels bend before they break others will break before they bend his test are still crude at best. crk knives still the best.

Although, I agree with you saying that CRKs are great tools, I don't think that it is appropriate to insult the tester. There is already a topic in the review forum on this topic.

There are already several threads on this subject. Including two very long ones on the Project I. I like Noss, and think his testing is entertaining if nothing else. Why people focus on the mask and not the knives is beyond me. He only tests knives that the company or the buyers claim to be super tough (clipper being the exception).

Actually, YOU are incorrect. I don't think that name-calling and insults are needed, just because there is a disagreement on whether or not a test is viewed as stupid or unneeded by some. I don't think that the tests are required as they show nothing more than the destruction point of a knife. I see nothing wrong with discussing these tests, I just think it should be done in a appropriate manner.

LOL your a funny one. Let me guess you only watched part four. If you would have watched all the parts you would have seen I batoned with the project. The discoloration you see is the finish wearing down. As can be seen in the photo.

Now that noss4 has answered the technical question posed, I think I will close this, and anyone inclined can go to the other CRK forum thread or the Knife Reviews and Testing thread to continue the discussions there.
