In the spirit of our recent Brute de Forge conversations:

The result of a move long desired, from Illinois to Minnesota.
This Damascus was made to make the last knife I sold while in Illinois.
It made the trip to my new location in Northern Minnesota.
I wanted my first knife in Minnesota to be a little different.
I "skived" out the steel in the handle where the scales go.
Stabilized curly walnut from northern California.
Bullseye pins to eliminate peening stress on the handle material.
Mirror polished spine.
Hot blued 324 layer 1095 and 15N20.
9 inches overall.

Thanks for letting me share.

It is a little known fact, but sending such a knife to Ill from Minn is a very serious felony. Please pmail me & I'll give you my address & you may send the knife to me & I'll do my best to keep you out of prison. I know it's a lot for a stranger to do, but I'm just that kind of guy. ;)

It's beautiful Karl.... then again all of yous are!

Glad you are happy in your new location, and a great shop too.

Beautiful knife. like the blued damascus and handle combo. I cant imagine move all your stuff that in itself is quite an undertaking.

I hope you saved a nice block of that stabilized walnut for mine! ;) :)

Sweet Karl.

I was wondering about Brute de Forge damascus....

Seldom see it. The pins look great too!

I've done quite a few.
I also find them a great way to test welds when forging these things to shape. ;)
Not one failure yet.
