The inexpensive ones get stuff done as well.

I keep this little Silver Spur II in a "blister care" kit. My oldest son is 14 and plays a ton of soccer....5 games this Saturday. He has to change shoes because of the different surfaces. No matter what he'll get blisters after this many games. The blisters raise up and pop and then hurt like heck. I use this knife to trim off the blistered skin before putting on some moleskin. It is easy to keep scalpel sharp and clean. I wipe with an alcohol pad before using it. I'll boil it from time to time as well to make sure it is clean. I think I paid $15 for it...aluminum handle...lock back....thinly ground AUS6...no worries at all. I get all wrapped up in the expensive steel like others do but there is nothing wrong with this little gem.
