Eventually this gear line will expand a lot to include several bags and packs. All will be USA made and will bear the name "Izula Gear". It will take a litle time but I would say within a year we will be rockin:)

The next run of these bags will come out of the shop in Knoxville , Tennessee, USA.:) Any input on adding brown/khaki to the colors and maybe bumping the price up a bit?

I love my Junglas Laserna Pack and my Recovery Bag. Can't wait for new additions.

One thing is that the new bags will not feature the Green ESEE Colombia patch. (If they're going to be made in America.) I want all my ESEE bags/packs to match. Oh well, everything can't be perfect.

It does look like the upcoming "Pack Kits" will be made in Columbia. Not sure if they'll have the patch though.

One of the first "Izula Gear" models will be the Wallet E&E Kit.

OK, that's all :D

Why would you need a handcuff key? I can't think of any good scenarios where you might need one to survive.

Imagine being kidnapped by bad guys, and they've wanded you to make sure you don't have a weapon on you before handcuffing you to a tree. A non-metallic handcuff key would cheer me up.

Well if you're handcuffed around a tree, getting your hand in your pocket might be tough. :D

Puke, this kit isn't just designed just for woods monkeys, it's an Escape and Evasion kit. Inside the US, not much of a problem, spend time in parts of Mexico or Colombia and your odds of being "borrowed" by someone go up infinitely.

In an escape and evasion scenario?!?!?! That's for sure something you would want if you were ever to get snatched and cuffed by the wrong people. The key is to have to outlook and forethought to keep the kit on you and know you'd be putting yourself in, or could be in an area or situation that you might need it. So you stash the key somewhere on you where you could access it if that were to happen.

I can recall more than one occasion where I needed a handcuff key. Luckily I survived...

Let's not get into our sexual and legal exploits here... ;)

I tried talking a couple of prisoners I worked with into explaining how they slipped their cuffs with no luck. Probably could find it on youtube or google it...but is was quite cool and fast...1 2 3 and out!

I haven't the slightest idea...

edit: back on topic- cool little kit.

I read the product description wrong. For some reason I thought of a wilderness survival type of kit but the "escape and evasion" side came up and now I get it. Thanks for clearing things up, guys!

Thanks for bumping the thread.
I'm going to wait until the three (3) Izula Gear products are released. I'm going to order them all at the same time.
Can't wait.

I think the kit is really neat, but I would think whoever put you in handcuffs woul do a search of your person and dicover your wallet. IDK jmo. but if I was traveing I would have one just in case.

You're supposed to "split up" the contents and conceal some of it. Even if someone didn't take the wallet with key inside, you'd have a hell of a time getting it out of your pocket, opened, and remove the key with cuffs on:D

jeff, i don't know if you've seen these or not, but i like these handcuff keys a little better. because of the ring around them, they are easy to stash around a button on your clothes. i'm sure they could be easily hidden other places too, but it seems like they would be easier to stash away in a place that they could be reached. just a thought.
