I just can't get over how awesome this knife is!! Batoning a 2 inch thick, foot and a half length of seasoned wood? No problem. Not scaring non-knife-people? Check. This knife is perfect for me. I can't wait to get out and use it more!

I frequently baton with my izula too, though mostly with small stuff.
It's a very fast way to make very small kindling down to about matchstick size.

I used my Izula for making kindling for the wood stove all winter. :)

Izula is just a neat little tool. You'll be amazed what the little "toy knife" can take on an conquer. Specially with it being skeletonized, makes you think it's dainty, but it's a tough little sucker. Just the right steel, Just the right thickness.

Man, I can't take much more of this! My Izula and RC-4 should be here tomorrow, maybe Thurs... I'm going nuts, I was this way waiting for my RC-6!

I can't take it either. My Izula should be here Wed. or Thurs. also. I think I'm more excited than when I ordered my RC-4 and it was supposed to be my ultimate camping fixed blade. Now I need the ultimate EDC fixed blade! I'll probably carry the Izula and a Leatherman skeletool cx. The RC-4 is doable but a little more than necessary for carry at work.

No problems at all! When I did it I was worried there might be some damage to the edge, but it's absolutely fine. Has anyone here tried batoning cross-grain?

Yea! That is it's strong point IMO. Being able to baton limbs and saplings really makes it versatile compared to weaker knives.
