This idea came from Tahts-a-dats-ago, and it`s for him. I call it the J.K.C.B.K., for JK Canadian Belt Knife. Mike wanted a version of the Canadian Belt Knife, with more of a JK style handle, this is the result. It`s 8 1/2" overall, with a 4" blade of 1/8" O1. The handles are ebony, with brass pins and lanyard tube. I`m adding it to my current line, for a base price of $150.00.

Pretty much knocked that one out of the park! Very very tempted to pull the trigger on that and I may just cave in.

You're right, that is a sweet knife! Nice design and beautiful work.

I love the look of the Canadian belt knives. Haven't used one that much, but they sure do look like they would be fun to use.

OH MOMMA, THAT IS SWEET!!

I don't know how you did it, but that is exactly what I had in mind when I asked you about making such a knife. It's perfect. I couldn't be more pleased.

The best part is: I know it is even more incredible in person. I can't wait.

Thanks John, you really nailed it.

Hi guys -

Very nice! I am really liking the ebony on John's knives, it is a very elegant material for the knives that will also be durable.

Cool pictures John - I like the compass ;^)

best regards -

Great looking blade. I have often wondered when one was going to be made. I like the Grohmann but prefer O1 to their steel.
I agree wholeheartedly on the ebony and on the compass. John, what kind of compass is that?

That`s an old Boy Scout compass, made with a bakelite case by Taylor Instrument Co. I got it from mqqd, it`s still in the original box. It`s the prize of my scout collection.

Very cool. I love old, well made compasses.

How about some photos and thoughts on this beauty.

Jeff

He just received it yesterday, I was holding it and the Green River untill he returned from vacation. He emailed yesterday that he would do a review after it gets some use.
