As soon as I get it figured out I'll try and post pics, but the Jiri model arrived today. It needed a little sharpening out of the box, but not much. As far as I know I'm the first? It's fast and well balanced and tapers to a fine point. It is not the best chopper, but it gets the job done. I used it in the yard a bit today to do some clearing, and split a few logs for the fire. Not as efficient as my CAK when it comes to firewood, but what it lacks in overall mass it makes up for in speed.
It's a beautiful blade, and the guard makes it a superb fighter. It's very lively in the hand, and the long handle allows for a hand and a half grip for heavy blows. I love the leather "quick-draw" style sheath. Another great blade from Sher the (tiger).
