Just finished for a customer. The "John J." (This was not my idea)
Blade is 14.5" long by 1/4" thick by 2.5" wide OAL is 22"
Blade is made of ATS34 hollow ground. It is Black gun-coated except for the grinds that are polished. Spine is sawtoothed.
Guard has detachable spikes for grappling hook.
Handle is hollow with black cord wrap.
This is one of one there will not be another not by me anyway.
Please I would love to hear any comments.:D

I will always be a sucker for Rambo knives. That thing is awesome

Oh Yea its big. The customer called me today and is very excited he's going to drive up and pick it up personally. Can you beleive he's an investment broker.

I love the knife. Incredible work. You got one still in package? I want to get something that the wife can put in her purse for mother day. J/K

Yes.

One thing about this knife that I hate is the Buckmaster style grapnel spikes screwed into the hilt. They were a bad idea on the much smaller Buckmaster, but on a knife this big and heavy it is borderline retarded.

If you took away the spikes and made the blade an inch narrower and several inches shorter it would be very cool. I love hollow handled knives.

Am interested in knowing how much this weighs and if the sawteeth are usable. Outstanding craftsmanship on a flawed design. I hope you charged that dipshit well over a thousand dollars for this piece.

It sure has "high intimidation factor". I'm have some Rambo flashbacks. Cool killer knife.

Looks good I like it. Not my style but I like all knifes .

Thanks for all the comments guys. Its not something I would normally make. The spikes were something I advised against. I do beleive that I may have come up with a way to make this type knife an actual user so the effort may not have been a total loss. Except that it made my house payment this month. I agree on the size the same customer has one I made with no saw teeth and a 10.5" blade that is a much nicer knife:D

I think you did a great job on the first one, and that second one is super sweet! I'd be proud to carry that into the woods!

my first thought was man, what a tiny handle. Then I went back and looked at the knife's overall dimensions. Not a small handle, but a big knife. Sweet.

That is wild! I wouldn't mind owning something like that just to ogle at and mess around with. The quality is certainly there, but I probably wouldn't be willing to pay as much as he did, because of the impracticality already discussed... and lol at the grapple spikes. I can just picture the thing bouncing off something or slipping and then decapitating/dismembering him.
