Blade Show 2016

For many of us Blade Show was a weekend, for Knife makers the Preparation starts months out.

I Began My Blade Show Batch about 6 ½ Weeks out. Which didn’t leave much time for anything else. I think next year I will double that time.

I managed to snap some pictures during the process and a few during and after the show. I was unable to Photograph each and every knife prior to Blade Show, but I think I managed to get decent photographs of most of them, the ones I didn’t get pictures of I am hopeful will be posted up on Blade forums soon.

After Profiling the Blanks I had this Pile Materials. Not Everything Pictured here was selected or made it through the process.

Nice pictures Chris. I especially like the shots of you at the table working and thinking. I was impressed with the outcome of all your hard work and congratulations on a successful show.

Thank you Sergio,
Elena took those late one evening on a weekend. I was planning my execution and gathering the motivation to keep moving forward even though my body was telling me I about had enough.
I wish I had given myslef more time to take more photos, but with out the knives completed there is nothing to photograph. Even though I didnt accomlish evertything i had set out to do before the show. I am satisfied with the outcome because I know I did the best I could do at that time. Next year I will aim to do better than this year.

Very cool write up! Plus I think this picture is awesome.

I would crop it, so it is wider (i.e. down to the top of the fan at the top and up to the top of the can on the bottom) and get that framed.
