I've loved and carried the same FFG Delica in orange for years. It's got two deer gutting's "under it's belt" due to it being the only knife I had with me at the time. I was camping two weeks ago and thought I had lost it that weekend, but 14 days later I found it in the couch. Woot!!! WOOT!!! I love this little knife. I was so pissed at myself for loosing THIS knife.

Awesome:thumbsup:
I know how you feel, last year I lost my beloved childhood Leatherman Micra thinking I may have left it at a relatives house.
I found it a month or so later after feeling a lump on the couch, Somehow it found its way into a hole in the cushion.

Usually when I loose an EDC item I obsess about looking for it until I find it or I decide it's gone forever.

I lost one knife in the hills of Idaho elk hunting when I was 17(11 years ago).I've resigned to the fact that this one is gone forever. I'm sure someone will find my rusty buck one day. I've also misplaced two of my EDC lights that haven't turned up yet.

In the early 90’s I lost my favorite Case 70’s dots 6445R while doing inventory in one of our dry storage areas. I’d had the knife for years and it was really a bummer of a loss. I looked everywhere, for weeks after that, with no success.

A year later I was doing inventory again, looking into an old box of rarely used packaging material, and found my knife. I couldn’t believe it but was amazed, and happy.

When I came back from a beach party a few years ago, my Liosteel SR2 was no longer in my pocket. I was seriously bummed, and gave up all hope of ever finding it back in the beach sand. A few days later, I picked up my bag to go out, and found my SR2 dangling on some loose treads. The loose treads had caught the clip and fished the knife right out of my pocket, and the clip held on to a single tread until I spotted it. Oh joy!

I lost a old Buck Mayo North Shore. No idea where I had left it. Cleaning my car one day, I reach under the seat and behold, a Buck North Shore with probably a years worth of crud attached. Its now sitting on my table waiting to be refinished. Has some light corrosion on the lock bar and blade, which I am going to take care of with a little sand paper.

My first “real” knife was an s30v Blur. I was at by buddy’s shop and moved a customers old IDI F350 with old saddle blanket seat covers so they could pick it up. I went to leave and noticed my knife was gone and I couldn’t remember when I last had it. I looked in that truck a couple of times before I noticed the clip had hooked through the seat cover. It was like Christmas finding my old used knife. Still have it too.

I used to keep my small Schrade uncle Henry 3blade stockman (USA made) in my pocket, one day I could not find it, thinking it must have fallen out of my pocket. A couple of months later I was in the car looking in the glove box for something and all of a sudden there it was, I must have put it in there when I could not carry a knife to the amusement park we had gone to visit. I was happy.

I lost my Spyderco GB1 nearly the same way but it was a trash bag that grabbed it from my pocket. Thank God I checked the trash can before it went to the curb!

I've also lost 2 or 3 EDC lights our of my pocket (use to carry them loose in my FLP) but somehow managed to find every one of them including my Ti Eagletac that I dropped at a jobsite then set a Pallet of block on. My buddy found it at cleanup after we had used all the block and moved the Pallet.

My sunbrite beerscout was lost for months, seriously bummed me out as getting another was difficult since they are not made anymore.

Found it in a friends couch! Oh the smile on my ugly mug must have been huge.

Have a couple that are still MIA. Usually they turn up later when you are nothing actively looking. But these are probably gone. Tis life. You loose little tools/stuff.

But I know the feeling of finding a lost or misplaced knife that you depended on. Certainly a big grin time.

Added: Oh, by the way, congrats on finding your Delica!

Great idea for a thread. :D Lost a Spyderco Native 5 for like 2 months. Tore entire rooms apart in the house looking for it, finally concluded it was lost. Then one day, I was digging thru my closet, there it was clipped to a pair of dress pants that I rarely wear. Finding it made my day. The silver lining: searching for it forced me to clean up some rooms and get rid of some unneeded junk.

Back in the early 80's , I lost my beloved Spyderco Police while clearing the brush at the perimeter of a big hay field . I was truly bummed-out . The hay was 3' tall so I didn't have much hope . But with nothing to lose , I decided to try a visualization / meditation technique that allowed me to go almost right directly to the location . The glint off the all stainless knife helped . Kind of spooked me but I concluded that a kind of auto-hypnosis simply helped tap subconscious knowledge .
