The joys of using a sharp knife...

I may have converted a sheeple into a future knifeknut today. This morning I used my Laguiole folder to cut my bagle into smaller pieces. Watching me was my friend. When she saw how easily I cut through the bagel, she asked to finish the job cutting the bagel into pieces. She was genuinely amazed at the capabilities of a sharp knife. I asked her if she had ever used a sharp knife before, and she answered no. That little bit of info gave me some insight into the minds of sheeple. If most sheeple are like my friend and are unused to sharp knives, it's no wonder that most of them don't see the utility in carrying a knife. Hopefully I did my part today to increase the number of knife-savvy people out there.

Good job, i've yet to convert anyone, i will someday though, and i look forward to it. Anybody i know allready knows i carry, so if they ever need stuff cut, i'm usually the one to do it. I try to get 'em into it, but they know how much i spend and would rather not. Thats ok though, i like cutting stuff.

I started keeping my knife really sharp not too long ago, vs. sharpening it like once a month. REALLY nice to have a knife that flows through stuff like butter...can even replace my need for scissors most days.
