Curious about the slotted portion on the right side of the blade that coincides with the slotted portion on the sheath... What is that for?

I would guess retention.....very aggressive look.

True...

What threw me off was the rivet on the sheath seen through the retention hole. Didn't know what I was looking at. Brain games lol
