Check out this great knife design from a young but very talented knife designer and maker in Germany, LEGION-14 Blade-Designs. He also calls himself LEG.XIIII. The Jungle Fighter is fully handmade from Sleipner tool steel from Uddeholm. He also makes his own micarta and uses carbon fibre as well in the construction of this knife. It's a big bad ass 8 inch fixed blade. He custom heat treats himself. The blade was also cryo treated. I took it out for a couple of days in two mountainous regions. See what you reckon. I came across him by pure chance/serendipity.

Oh yeah, just before any one wants to stir the pot, no I did not, or do not get paid in any way shape or form to do reviews, nor does anyone pay my gas costs etc food bills for the cat etc etc. I review only stuff i think is worth your while looking at, in other words, stuff I think is worthwhile me owning. I've got another job (no offence to the smart ones making a good living from YT reviews)- which some of you have guessed what that is :) and then it becomes obvious.

Impressive landscape and great review of a nice knife.
How did the handle feel? Does it need gloves or is it smoother than it looks to me?

(The ocd in me has to ask why he's writing 14 as XIIII and not XIV?)

Hi, you know that handle really rocks, it is smoother than what it appears but those ridges he has put in it really gives it fantastic grip. You saw I wasn't wearing gloves at all and at no time did I think, hell i gotta do something here and put the gloves on/rub something into the handle etc to make it grip. Nope very nice in the ungloved hand.
As for his logo, well I asked the same question myself (to myself LOL). Maybe someone else on Facebook is using XIV?? Good question. Thanks to for your comments on my video. Yes you can (and I did) get really carried away with the beauty (which can be bad if you don't look at your watch LOL!).
