What a cool knife? or whatever you might call it. Fits the hand great has some weight and I went out and took a few small branches off very easy and no noticeable shock in the handle I didn’t expect it to work as well as it did. Then went after a melon the melon lost big time!

One problem is the little horn at the end of the blade makes it very hard to go in and out of the sheath without tearing it. I may in time grind that off and still have a mean little chopper with a built in bottle opener!

I got the horn handle and it looks good though I like wood better but these just don't come up that often.

Sooner or later...mine will find me.

If I'm lucky it will be a wood one...or even better...antler!

The Jure is a neat little blade. I really like mine, although i forgot to take it out of my truck that out getting a tune up. I really miss it, but it'll be back at the end of the week or so. It gives me more heft than a kitchen knife when chopping up food, but not the unneeded weight of a cleaver on smaller things. I like the little upturn on the tip. Back before plastic bottles were the norm, my grandmother used to always give me a glass of Hi-C to drink when i stayed with her after school. It came in a can, and you had to punch two holes. One to pour the drink out of, the other to allow air to escape so a vacuum didn't form when you tried to pour. She used a large kitchen knife. I think a couple quick whacks of the Jure tip would do nicely for that purpose:)

That's funny Jake. I remember those cans well. The fire department came to our place when I was like 5 because I'd got my finger stuck in a Hersheys Chocolate can just like that. For the life of me I can't figure out why the FD came, but they did. It was at that age when every boy wants to be a fire fighter. I was in awe as they pulled my finger out. Little cut, no biggie. They even let me honk the horn of the engine. Cool day afterall.
