 Man, Christmas is over, and i've got myself a new knife, the KA-BAR Becker BK7, and MAN, this knife is a performer. The day I get a new knife, I always run it through appropriate testing, and the BK7 (I always think of burger king when I say it) passed all of them with flying colors.

What's your experience with the BK7? Or any other of the Becker series? From what I have seen so far, it has outperformed a lot of other fixed blades I own.. all for $60.

I've got three Beckers now (BK-11, BK-2 and BK-9) and my so has the BK-14 and BK-7. Every single one of them rocks. Make sure to tighten the screws on that BK-7 and use the farg out of it. Pics man - we need pics!

Here are my three: :D

It doesn't have the chopping power of the BK-9 because there isn't enough weight & length, but I've no problem with the BK-7 for batoning. If you had a saw & a BK-7 then you'd be pretty well equipped!

I actually have two! I have the Camillus made BK7, and loved it so much that I bought a KaBar BK7 as well. In my humble opinion, I believe that the BK7 fills the role of "multipurpose" knife completely. It's big enough to do light chopping, strong enough to baton, and still able to do some lighter work (kitchen duties, etc. I don't whittle with mine).

congrats on owning the best knife for the money out there!!!

Looks good. Strip and brush/polish ?

I have a BK9 and the 2. Use a Recon Scout for the 7". There was a polished Scount on here. Looked sharp too. I may have to give one a try. The 2 would prob. look cool with out the coating

Hmm, still figuring out how to post pics... no, I don't wanna use a link :S

I'm still new to this, I apologize.

For now, it has a really cheap little lanyard, until I find the time to go pick up some paracord. You can see some wear on the blade, but no scratches.

Yep, a little black paracord tied in coil knot (hangman's noose) and that setup of yours is perfect, FMJ!
