Just got my kagas today and I wanted to say tha it is one fine piece of work. the grind and shape is exactly like the large version and the fit and finnish are execelent. The sheath is perfect, even has a frog that woud fit a thin belt. Seems to take a good edge even. I was very impressed and just wanted to let you know that they are a MUST to have. The Kami should be prasied for such fine work.

Now you know why we sold 200 instead of my guess of 50. They are great little knives but I am afraid we may not get all delivered by Christmas. None of us dreamed we would sell so many.

I can see why you are. The pix on the web does not even do it justice. I was stuned when I first saw it, I really did't expect it to look half as well made as it is. I bet if the kamis were to make several different styles like a sirupati, G.S., etc.. You could proubably sell all that they could make. I'm sure just about everone would like to have a miniture of what ever style they have.Or maybe of the styles they don't have.

My problem right now is I sold more than they can make. Some will not get delivered until January. Sorry. As usual, I misread the market. I can't outguess, pals, customers and forumites. They do it to me every time.

Did you ever think they would be so popular? Also, following Ice's observations do you think we have momentum for a boxed set of "deluxe" Katas kagnes?

Bill -- is the steel in the kagas the same as
in the regulation HI kukuris? Sorry if I missed this question the first time around.
Did anyone order a brass one? How is sharpness and edge retention? If you get any more I might order a few of each.

Yes, it is John. Old leaf spring recycled into kagas katnes.
I don't know about a deluxe boxed set. After seeing the plaque the kamis made me I'm sure they could come up with something that looked pretty good. We will need some good specs on this idea.
