So, as some of you may remember, my would-be first Fiddleback was lost by USPS. I received a monarch I really liked as a replacement (I love it, by the way), but I still really wanted a Kephart.
Seeing as my Monarch will serve as my lightweight backpack friendly knife with a 1/8" taper tang, I wanted to bump the tang thickness up to 5/32" to make my Kephart a good all-around camp knife.
I saw the evergreen burlap Kephart in the blade thickness and configuration I wanted, and after a week or so of deliberation, I took the plunge.
Well, today is the day it was supposed to be delivered. My knife started the day at a sorting facility 30 minutes north of my house, arrived at my post office (1 block from my house), then left my post office and was sent to another sorting facility 30 minutes south of my house!
What do you think the odds are of receiving only 1/3 of fiddlebacks ordered? :grumpy:
Still holding out hope for this one, though. It seems like they at least know where it is, even if it accidentally stayed on the truck.
