The Kershaw Cryo...a tiny little treat

I recently decided to buy a Kershaw Cryo over the larger Volt and although I've never handled a Volt, for now I'm glad I went with the Cryo. For a measly $30 its one heck of a deal. It was shaving sharp out of box, has a frame lock which is always a plus and the flipper has one of the smoothest actions I've ever had in a folder and it opens lightning fast. Of course the only complaint I have is that I have somewhat large hands and its a tiny knife so it will take some getting used to. But for now it has moved in to my edc spot and replaced my Meyerco/Lambert Shockwave until further notice. I'm thinking I might add a strip of hockey stick tape to the front of the handle cuz its really smooth and can use a little added grip traction.
I'm not entirely sure but I think I can buy aftermarket scales for it so I'll be looking into that soon and hopefully the tape will only be short term, lol.
Anyone out there thinking of getting a Kershaw and on a tight budget this is a great blade and not just for the money either, its just a great little knife.

I love my Cryo. The Cryo II should be available in a larger size soon, if not already.

I agree, at it's price point, the cryo is a solid knife. The cryo 2 should solve your only problem with the cryo.

I love the cryo, I've purchased several and modded them for friends. My personal one wears a G10 scale on the presentation side (and retains assist), has a 38spl case for the lock spring dampenr and had a sheeps foot blade.

I've got a 9mm casing on mine. :)

Cryos are a great "bang for the buck". And the weight is perfect.
If I want to feel like I'm not carrying a knife , then I won't carry a knife.

The Cyro is a real gem, on the more affordable side of things. It truly is an example of an outsourced quality. I like the inexpensive Kershaws, the fit and finish is very respectable. 8CR13MOV isn't a slouch by any means, in terms of edge quality, it'll take a scary sharp edge, not the best in term of edge retention, but what gives, it's more than serviceable for most EDC stuff.

Cryo II is out and in stock at a place the can't be mentioned here. Just look for a tiger stripe Blur, but not the wallyworld tanto version.

I cut up a Red Bull can. The edge suffered a couple rolls and a chip, but it sharpened out no problem.

Pics??

I have mine coming Wednesday, and would love to see what can be done with this sexy little beast.

I swore off buying 'cheap' knives just because. I have a lot of those, and it's not to easy to unload them, except at a fraction of their original price. BUT, this little guy had my attention early on, and too many good reviews of it demanded it to come to my house...

Now, it want's to play dress up, methinks.
