Hi All,
I have many knives ranging from benchmades, spydercos, ka-bars, beckers, cold steel, and of course kershaw.
My previous favorite for carry was a Spyderco Stretch. Today, it became the Kershaw Piston. Here is why:
I do not convex any of my folders just as a person preference, but all my fix blades are convexed.
ALL of my folders have an edge around 15-17 degrees per side and I deburr and strop to a very fine or mirror edge.
When cutting materials, I felt and noticed the piston cutting significantly better than any of the other folders. This goes for enduras, the stretch UKPK, voyagers, blue, skyline, and a few others. Just the geometry is awesome. I was able to make deep cuts into wood and other materials with ease.
I am not trying to take any credit away from other knives, but really, the piston is an amazing little folder...
just thought you guys should know!
