The Kershaw Piston Cuts EXTREMELY Well

Hi All,
I have many knives ranging from benchmades, spydercos, ka-bars, beckers, cold steel, and of course kershaw.

My previous favorite for carry was a Spyderco Stretch. Today, it became the Kershaw Piston. Here is why:

I do not convex any of my folders just as a person preference, but all my fix blades are convexed.
ALL of my folders have an edge around 15-17 degrees per side and I deburr and strop to a very fine or mirror edge.

When cutting materials, I felt and noticed the piston cutting significantly better than any of the other folders. This goes for enduras, the stretch UKPK, voyagers, blue, skyline, and a few others. Just the geometry is awesome. I was able to make deep cuts into wood and other materials with ease.

I am not trying to take any credit away from other knives, but really, the piston is an amazing little folder...

just thought you guys should know!

It is a nice one for sure and seems to get overlooked for some reason. Another one that I love of the newer Kershaw's is the Knockout. Very slim and light for the size of blade it has.

I had a Piston and sold it when I picked up a ZT550. Frankly, I was disappointed in the 550's cutting performance, and I wish I still had a Piston.

I just got a Piston last week and it has been amazing so far. I was going to get a 550 but held both side by side and decided on the piston, it just felt like it would be a better EDC sort of knife.

I will probably get a 566 when it comes out, but the Piston is good enough that I am not too worried about it. ZT can take their time now, lol.

the piston is a great blade for its weight and profile...although I carry a 550 right now...if i want something lightweight ill definitely go back to the piston but weight for me atm isnt a factor.
