Being a lurker in these parts, I've inevitably noticed just how strong Dave's Kershaw-fu is, so I was wondering if this subforum as a whole is able to stump him with some really tough Kershaw trivia questions. Nothing ridiculous, like "what did I cut with my Vapor last night at 7:42PM" or "what did Ken Onion have for breakfast last Saturday," but more like some random Kershaw related facts (even obscure ones) that we could test him on while adding to the general Kershaw community's knife knowledge as well... anybody want to start?

I'd like to ask him something but every time I come up with a question, I think
to myself....If I know the answer, so does Dave. :D

Good thread.

I wonder if we could spice it up a little more... maybe making it the whole forum vs. Thomas vs. Dave vs. any other Kershaw gurus... I know that's stacking the odds against the whole forum, but hey... you never know...

I've got a question, and it's not one of those when I know the answer. First some knife porn

I'm just curious how many variations to Baby Boa are out there. I've googled them, but couldn't even find the black and gray one out there...

Very interesting thread. I suspect some late 70s early 80s stumpers...my first memory of that era was watching the Beirut conflict as a young child, so I don't plan on being a big help...but here is MY attempt:

Which major retail shop sold the most Kershaw knives during the 80s? I think I know the answer, and I want it confirmed.

i agree with mike, great thread! and that is a good question j curd. wouldnt mind knowing myself, just cause i am now curious.

OK this is for DAVE, not TW who has this info at his finger tips. question: of that retail shop that j curd mentioned, how many Kershaws did they sell? (would prefer a actual number Dave, but if you dont know, give it a shot and maybe TW can confirm it).

Beauty pics, eh?:D I love that trio of baby Boas. I've seen lots of Kershaws, and have never seen the gray and black ones either. Very cool.

Shooting them as triplets was the idea I had in mind. I guess it worked. :D
I'll try and post my Leeks and Blurs later on too.

Wow, Dudes. You guys don't really know me , I will be easily stumped. In fact I will probably biff on the first question, but just for fun , I would say Snap-on tools had the largest retail sales of Kershaw knives in the eighties. So i am probably wrong already and now I will be removed from the family !!!

You're probably right about Snap-On and no, once in the family, always in the family. ;)

We may get Dann to ban you though if you prefer? :D:D
