I am fairly new at knives but in a month or so I find myself with a few Chris Reeves and well... At least 10 other spydercos. And yes, self indulging can be good and bad.
I have seen this khar popping up here and there, usually with negative comments such as blade being too short, no jigging, too much like the legendary delica but with too many shortcomings.

After sitting for several weeks in my shopping cart and canceling it at least once, I clicked the order button and stepped away, pacing back and forth lost in my own madness: after all, there were so negatives and I already had two delica emerson.

Well, friends, I received it today and I am delighted and very happy. All those negative pointers turned out to be actually positive to me. The blade is shorter but its shape for my usage is actually much more practical, usable and natural, which easily offsets with the shorter steel: I'm beginning to dig this blade shape much better than the conventional leaf shape.
I'm even thinking about getting a blue one as well.
I am eyeing its bigger brother: the yojimbo 2, which I initially had some reservations but now is self evident to have.

I have the blue one myself. The only downside I have found is that the finish on it is more prone to rust than my standard delica. Seemed to start spotting up just clipped inside my pocket. But rust can be removed so that's not a big deal. Good thing you didn't talk yourself out of it huh?

I have a feeling that those complaining about the Kahr Delica don't understand the reasoning behind it. It was designed for a specific reason and it is not intended to be massively appealing to everyone, but if you are in the group that the knife was designed for, then you'll probably appreciate it a lot more than the average user. Here's a link to an article that explains the knife's design along with a pic of my blue Delica.

Interesting read. I think I may pick one of these up now.

Same rationale as mine--I traded into this one some years back. The original owner liked the Kahr model but wanted it on his waved version, so off to Charlie Mike it went for the nose job. I thought it was a great idea and when it came up for trade I snapped it up, and later had my existing waved models done the same way, only put away for safe keeping in case I lose this one.

Interesting... Glad I was able to find a kydex wave feature to make the khar even more usable for its intended purpose. A zip tie would have been fine but just wouldn't have the cool feature.

Agree. Sometimes, you just got to go against the mass and find out for yourself.

I need this done to an Endura...

Is the cutting edge 2 1/2 inches or is the blade tip to handle scale length 2 1/2 inches ?
I'm contemplating altering a standard Delica and I'm trying to work out the angle of the reprofile tip .
At first I wasn't sure about the blade shape , but it has grown on me .

Is the Kahr's blade shape exactly the same as a standard one apart from the tip alteration or are there other differences ?
Also could someone tell me the length of the ground flat on the spine of the blade .
If I have that length and the overall blade length then I should be able to recreate the tip angle precisely .

There is the Kahr on top of my Delica 4. Other than the Kahr being saber ground they look like they match up to me.
